![]() (NOTE: This is just alone foundation so if there’s darker areas that needs to cover up then concealer would do the job.) This foundation is especially perfect for summer since it’s lightweight and yet give a pretty good coverage. If you are someone that does not have dark spots or discoloration on your face then just one layer would do you good. Below pictures are step by step the result to the second layer.Īdding a second layer definitely give a flawless result which i preferred. Other than that, it’s pretty good so far! I usually add a second layer just for more coverage and flawless result. This foundation has a pretty good coverage as you can see but i can still see my dark spots. Here’s the first layer of the foundation. As you can see, i have discoloration on parts of my face and dark spots around my forehead so this is the perfect time to test this foundation so you can see how much it coverage it has. Here’s my naked face (: I have nothing on except my cetaphil moisturizer which i always apply before anything else. The last thing you want from a foundation is shine & cakey result! Luckily, for those of you that does not like scents, this foundation is a scent free! It gives medium coverage ( which most foundation do) and dries to a lovely matte finish that doesn’t look dry or cakey. The lightweight formula and the packaging remind me of a BB cream & CC cream. The formula is very creamy and easy to blend. ![]() I purchase just the foundation from the collection ( they also carry concealer, pressed powder, nails, etc ).įOUNDATION : Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous The Ready, Set Gorgeous is summer 2014 collection from covergirl. I’m not much of a covergirl lover but after trying out their Outlast stay fabulous foundation which was amazing, i want to try their newer collection. This is my opinion on the concealer based on how it works for me, and it could be different for other people.Hi beautiful people ❤ I recently bought this Covergirl READY, SET GORGEOUS foundation from the drugstore and i want to talk to you about it. I would rate this product a 7 or 8 out of 10!Īgain, this is just based on my experience with this product. I will definitely keep using it, especially to cover my acne scars. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised with this product. I form upside down triangles with concealer under my eyes to brighten up the area and make me look less tired, and I find I have to go over certain areas two to three times to fully cover the area. From my experience with it, you have to put on a good amount of product to get the full coverage. The main issue I find with it is when I try to put it on under my eyes. On my acne spots or scars, it appears to be very effective. I feel like the coverage is pretty good with this concealer. It doesn’t really stand out, which is nice, because I want my face makeup to look more natural. All I know is that when I put this concealer on over my foundation, I can blend it out with either my finger or my makeup sponge and it still blends in nicely. Maybe this is because I use a CoverGirl foundation as well, I’m not completely sure. To my surprise, this concealer is very easy to blend in with my foundation. However, it is harder to conceal my undereye circles with the wand, because I find you really do not get that much product on the wand, and have to dip it back into the product numerous times to get the full amount of required coverage. I don’t use too much, and I can put the concealer on the spot and only on the spot: I don’t have large, light spots on my face where the extra concealer was, even if blended. I had never used a concealer like this before, but I definitely like the wand for covering up my acne spots. Unlike my Maybelline concealer, this product has a wand instead of a stick setup. I purchased the shade 5018, which is light/medium (cause I’m pretty damn pale) for $5.99 at Target. I picked up their Ready Set Gorgeous concealer. So I decided to try one made by the same company as my favorite foundation, CoverGirl. ![]() ![]() Since I ran out of my Maybelline Age Rewind concealer for under my eyes and couldn’t find my shade when I went looking for a new one, I decided to pick up a new one that I could also use to cover my acne marks. But I’m back! And I’m going to do something I’ve never done-a product review! I’m so sorry for being gone for so long! I’ve been super busy with going to classes and going to work, so I haven’t had the chance (or the ideas) to update this blog with real content.
